Amy Pliszka’s exhibition ‘Bees Beside Us’ at the Chelsea Physic Garden, London, is the last of the Chelsea Fringe events this year. The intricate pleated textile and turned wood beehive is “an urban living space designed from the perspective of the honeybee”. Fledging sister festival to the Chelsea Flower Show, the Fringe offers a hearty broth of garden-related installations, happenings, talks and events across London and other satellite cities. It captures the spirit of gardening zeal by artists, designers, gardeners, poets, musicians and other activists. Always curious, quirky and energising, catch it next May and June.
